Scholarship

In the spring of 2025 we started our scholarship program, and were able to award $5000 each to two amazing young women, the MWGC Inaugural Scholarship and the Haque-Khan Family Scholarship.

The annual Muslim Women's Giving Circle (MWGC) Scholarship is a one-time award of $5,000, designed to support Muslim women who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to a career in service. This scholarship reflects MWGC’s mission to empower women dedicated to making a positive impact in their communities.

Eligibility Criteria:

✔ Undergraduate Muslim woman enrolled as rising third-year or beyond.

✔ Have a declared major aligned with a career in service.

✔ Demonstrate a record of community service and commitment to continue this work through their academic and professional goals.

✔ A minimum GPA of 3.0.

✔ Meet the need-based criteria by providing financial documentation.

✔ Be enrolled for the subsequent academic term at an accredited institution.

Application Requirements:

• Completed application form

• Essay (no word limit) addressing:

• How your major and career goals align with MWGC’s mission.

• Your commitment to serving the community and how this scholarship will support their goals.

• Official transcript

• Two recommendation letters:

  • (1) From a professor or university advisor

  • (2) From a community leader familiar with your service work
